Kolv Privacy Policy

Kolv is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the Kolv iOS app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@kolv.online
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and password when you sign up. Passwords are stored in hashed form; we never see them.
- Profile information. Your username, display name, bio, and profile photo, if you add them.
- Location. Only during an active round. When you start a round, Kolv records your location to map your shots and measure distances, including while the app is in the background or your screen is off. Tracking stops when you finish or discard the round. Kolv does not collect your location at any other time.
- Round data. Courses, scores, pars, hole-by-hole results, and shot locations you record or enter.
- Photos. If you choose a profile photo, Kolv accesses the photo you pick. When you export a shot-trace overlay or stats card, Kolv saves that image to your photo library. Kolv does not read or upload anything else in your library.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting tools, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
How we use your information

- To record, save, and show your rounds, stats, and shot traces
- To create the images you choose to export and share
- To respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Supabase stores your account, profile, round data, and profile photo.
- Apple Maps receives location coordinates to display maps and to create the map image used in shot-trace exports.
These providers process data only to provide their services to Kolv.
Sharing
Your rounds and stats are private to your account. Images you export are shared only where you choose to post them. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, profile, photo, and round data. Images you already saved to your device or posted elsewhere are not affected.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or its deletion by emailing support@kolv.online. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor valid requests.
Children
Kolv is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact support@kolv.online and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email. Continuing to use Kolv after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
